Workshop - Saturday June 17th (10-4:30pm)
In this intermediate class, we will learn how take patterns found in everyday life and convert them into beautiful machine quilting designs using both the walking foot, as well as free-motion techniques. I will use examples from my “Golden Gate” series, in which I take designs from the stunning iron gates in my San Francisco neighborhood. I will walk you through a refresher of free-motion basics, and then we will dive into the process of designing your own quilting motifs using images/objects found in our surroundings, using both marked and unmarked machine quilting. You will walk away with not only more confidence in machine quilting, but with new tricks for your quilting tool boxes!
